The University of The Third Age
The aim of the University of The Third Age is to encourage and enable older people no longer in full-time paid
employment to help one another to share their knowledge, skills, interests and experience .
Most activities take place during the day at a variety of venues.
Membership allows participation in any group.
The aim of this web site is to give prospective members an overview of the Bridgwater U3A activities and to inform
members of the latest U3A news, information and group programmes.
Bridgwater and District U3A is a Registered Charity (No. 1084262), and is also affiliated to the charity:
The Third Age Trust (operating as The University of the Third Age.)
Additionally, Bridgwater and District U3A is also a member of the Northern Somerset Association of U3As.
U3A Coffee Mornings
These   are   held   on   the   third   Wednesday   of   every   month   at
the   Masonic   Hall,   Northgate,   Bridgwater,   (opposite   the
new   McCarthy   &   Stone   apartment   block   i.e.   the   site   of
the old Police Station), from 10 am to noon.
All   members   and   those   interested   in   finding   out   more
about   the   U3A   are   welcome.   There   is   usually   a   Bring   and
Buy   Stall   and   the   notice   boards   give   up-to-date   details   of
group activities.
